My upper furthest right tooth (possible a wisdom tooth) is breaking into
small pieces quite easily. Will be making an appointment with a dentist
tomorrow but just wondering what the diagnosis and prognosis is
BTW it's the front edge which is breaking but I guess the problems more
widespread since it's gone quite far down in comparison with the other side.

It's now bleeding, what should i do?
Rinsed with cold water, bleeding seems to have stopped but there did seem to
be an disproportianate amount of blood. Now I'm starting to get a sensation
which isn't quite pain.

I haven`t had a wisdom tooth do that, but i`ve got a gob full of
crumbling teeth, and i`ve recently had one crown done (and need at least
2 more doing) - there`s a faint line of silver amalgam filling visible at
the gum line, as the tooth had originally broken below the gum level.
It`s probably not time to panic just yet :-}
If you`re getting pain, then as well as the usual analgesics you could
also try clove oil (costs about £0.90 at the local chemist) - it tastes
like shit*, but it`s not bad as a painkiller (perhaps the taste takes
your mind off the pain :-} )
* you certainly won`t be getting kissed by anyone, and your partner may
elect to leave the house overnight :-}
Many thanks for your reply.

:-S I guess I feel a little lucky. It's only the top edge of the tooth and
perhaps the middle (but I can't see) so I hope the remedy isn't too drastic.
I think it bled from the inside but I'm not sure. I haven't felt any pain
and the bleeding has stopped.

Hopefully it's just the one. This is the first thing to happen to my adult
teeth that needs dentist attention and I'm only 22 so I'm pretty worried....
